Selecting the Right Program
Consider Your Commitment: Think about your ability to commit to follow-up training in the months after the program.
1 Month Program: Ideal if your dog has no behavioral issues and you’re able to dedicate time to train alongside your dog. This program is a good fit for those with the time and willingness to reinforce training.
2 Month Program: Best for those with a more constrained schedule or limited time for hands-on training. This program allows for a bit more flexibility and longer training duration.
Advanced Obedience Program: Perfect for those who want a well-behaved dog. This program is more comprehensive and suited for owners looking for thorough obedience training.
Aggression Issues: At this time, CapeWest does not train dogs with aggression traits. If your dog displays aggression, please contact Heath directly for recommendations and suitable trainers.
Finding a Gun Dog: Heath can help locate a good bloodline puppy or a started dog for your specific needs, whether for any breed or sporting function. His best advice is set a budget and buy the best bloodlines you can find within your budget.
For Gun Dog Puppies: Start training as early as 8 weeks. CapeWest offers early puppy training or tips to help with a smoother transition into formal dog work.
